The Indiana Roof Ballroom first opened in September of 1927. Designed in the motif of a European village, no detail was left out. Painted grapevines creep up plaster columns and stucco facades boast exquisite detail, including ornate balcony and doorway railings. The soaring 30-foot ceiling above the balcony that surrounds the room appears to be a starry blue night sky with a shimmering crescent moon, creating the illusion of being outside.
